Hospitality ERP — Multi-Entity Property Management Platform

Overview: Designed the full UX and information architecture for a self-hosted property-management and accounting platform. This system seamlessly manages multiple legal entities—a guesthouse and a holding GbR—all within a single application, streamlining operations and tax compliance.

Status: Live, in production use across guesthouse and holding company.

Key Contributions
  • Mobile-First Interactions: Designed advanced interaction patterns including bottom-tab nav, swipe actions, pull-to-refresh, voice input, and guided onboarding. Built underlying flows for bookings, multi-room rate splits, conflict-free calendaring, and per-room iCal exports.
  • Back-Office Automation: Architected workflow designs for complex accounting processes, including receipt automation (IMAP polling → OCR → vendor categorization → bank matching), PSD2 open-banking with consent renewal, dunning workflows, deferred corporate billing, and drag-sortable tax-prep PDFs.
  • Compliance & Local Context: Designed bulletproof compliance flows for the German legal context, incorporating Meldeschein guest registration, DATEV export, XRechnung / EN16931 invoicing, Belegnummern-gap detectors, and consolidated VAT reporting across entities.
  • Figma to Production Pipeline: Translated the full design—over 50 screens and components in Figma—into working production code. Connected Figma MCP to an LLM-assisted coding pipeline (Claude Code + Python/FastAPI backend, React/Vite PWA frontend with offline mode and push notifications), treating engineering as a tool in service of design.
  • Deployment & Migration: Migrated legacy data end-to-end (244 guests, 393 bookings, 271 invoices reconciled) and successfully shipped the system into daily production use.
